MAINTENANCE/SERVICE TECHNICIAN


As a UDR Service Technician, you maintain and preserve the community, providing a clean and well-maintained home for our residents. Every day is an opportunity for you to ensure every resident is provided with superior customer service.

Essential Job Functions:

As a Service Technician, you support the Maintenance Manager and work with the service team in achieving income and occupancy goals by delivering an exceptional product and unparalleled service on a consistent and timely basis. You ensure the physical integrity of the community by maintaining the overall appearance and cleanliness of the community. You diagnose problems and make repairs and prepare the apartment homes for our new residents moving into the community. You are dedicated to fostering an on-going positive relationship with residents and you deliver exceptional customer service to ensure maximum number of lease renewals.

Key Qualifications:

  • Minimum one to two years' experience with hands-on general maintenance experience including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliance repair and painting
  • Proficient with smartphone and/or PDA's, MS Office and Outlook with competent general computer skills
  • Valid driver's license and rotating on-call responsibility required
  • EPA and/or CPO certification required at some locations
