Customizations
Can residents mount a TV in their apartment?	Yes. Residents will be responsible for holes in drywall from mounting brackets
Can residents paint their apartment?	Yes. Residents must paint it back to the original color prior to move out or pay for the additional paint charges incurred
Can residents install curtain rods in their apartment?	Yes. Residents will be responsible for holes left from brackets
Are grills allowed on patio/ balconies?	No. It is against the law in Davidson County to use or store a grill of any type within 15 feet of an apartment building
Can residents decorate their patio/balcony?	yes but we ask that it be limited to patio/balcony type accessories. Decorations cannot exceed the space of the patio or balcony itself and must be kept neat and clean at all times, Screens are prohibited.
Are satellite dishes allowed on patio/ balconies?	Yes. You must seek prior approval and pay the additional security deposit prior to installation. Dishes cannot be mounted to the building itself in any way
Can residents smoke on their patio/balcony?	Yes

Maintenance
Where should a service request be submitted?	All service requests should be submitted through the UDR Resident App.
What qualifies as an emergency service request?	An emergency is any issue that poses an immediate threat to health, safety, property, or essential services and requires urgent attention to prevent further damage or danger.
Who is responsible for replacing smart lock batteries?	We provide Smart Lock batteries at move-in. After that, residents are responsible for replacing them as needed.
