Take a Break at Rock Creek Park

When it's time to take a break from the whirlwind of daily life, spend a day in the great outdoors at Rock Creek Park, just a few miles from home. Gather up some friends for tennis or golf, or lace up your boots and explore over 32 miles of hiking trails. The park offers trails for bikers and horseback riders, too, as well as picnic areas, playgrounds, boat rentals, wildlife programs, planetarium shows, and more!

Get Around Town with Ease

No matter where life takes you, you'll find a quick and easy way to get there. Your home at Eleven55 Ripley is right around the corner from the Silver Spring Metro Stop (Red Line) and only minutes from the I-495 Beltway, allowing easy commutes to the University of Maryland, DC, Bethesda, and northern Virginia. The area also offers several Metrobus and RideOn bus lines, the MARC train, and the College Park shuttle service.

Visit the Cultural Arts Center

A part of nearby Montgomery College, the Cultural Arts Center is an institution dedicated to improving cultural literacy and encouraging cross-cultural understanding. Located only a half mile south of home, the CAC offers a wide variety of concerts, dance performances, art exhibits, lectures, films, and conferences throughout the year.

Travel the Metro Branch Trail

The Metropolitan Branch Trail is an 8-mile walking and biking trail that runs from Union Station in downtown DC up to Silver Spring. Adjacent to Eleven55 Ripley, this trail follows the Metropolitan Branch Line of the B&O Railroad and provides pleasant, neighborhood-oriented connections between homes, workplaces, and entertainment venues, as well as seven Metro stations and the National Mall.
