The huge Capital One Arena arena hosts a roster of top sports teams: the Capitals, Wizards, Georgetown Hoyas, and WNBA Mystics. When not booked for a game, the arena gets taken over by the latest and greatest music acts. Best of all: You don’t have to fight to park. Just walk a few blocks, and you’re there.

Chinatown

Enter Chinatown through the ornate Friendship Gate. The historic compact area features shopping and, of course, a huge variety of terrific Chinese and Asian restaurants. Be sure to stop by for the annual Chinese New Year parade.
