There are more than 150 restaurants within five square miles, making Addison home to more restaurants per capita than any other city west of the Mississippi. Addison also is known for hosting many events, such as one of the largest 4th of July fireworks shows around, Kaboom Town, plus Oktoberfest, Addison Artfest, and the Jazz Fest.
Biking, jogging, walking, hiking, yoga, volleyball, bootcamp…you’ll find these and all manner of other wellness and fitness activities at Vitruvian Park. This 19-acre park is also home to live music, art installations, and an interactive fountain. Head here in December to witness Vitruvian Lights, an event where the park trees are decorated with 1.2 million light bulbs—it’s breathtaking.
